Our Mission
At Metalklädding Group, our mission is to set a new benchmark for metal cladding in Melbourne, Australia.
For over 15 years, we’ve honed our expertise in:
- Facade construction
- Understanding that quality emerges from precision
- Thoughtful material selection
- Respect for how architecture endures through time and elements
Equally important is creativity — we craft the look of every project, transforming design intent into facades that are as visually striking as they are technically refined.
From concept to completion, our team collaborates closely with architects and builders to deliver bespoke cladding solutions that define the built environment through detail, performance, and design integrity.

ORIGIN: EUROPEAN. PRONOUNCED: [CLADDING]
The name Metalklädding was inspired by Europe’s mastery of cladding and roofing — “Klädding” just means cladding.
While “Klädding” isn’t an actual European word, the spelling — particularly the umlaut over the “ä” — evokes a European aesthetic, paying homage to the continent’s mastery of metal cladding & roofing.
Based in Melbourne, Australia, we studied and adopted the precision, techniques, and attention to detail that European facades are renowned for.
We combine this knowledge with local materials and design requirements, to develop a uniquely Australian approach to architectural metal cladding & roofing.

Our Process
Our process begins with a detailed consultation to understand your project vision, architectural goals, and design requirements. During this stage, we also assess environmental factors to recommend the most suitable materials for your project.
We guide you through material and finish options that best align with your project’s aesthetic and functional objectives. Clients are welcome to visit our showroom to explore materials firsthand before we begin on-site work.
Once materials are selected, our trusted suppliers handle the preparation, cutting, and forming of each component. We ensure every element is precisely crafted to meet the specifications of your custom design.
Our experienced installation team completes the on-site work with symmetry, precision, and care — focusing on quality over quantity. We take pride in delivering façades that are visually consistent, structurally sound, and built to last.
To conclude, we perform a thorough quality inspection to ensure every detail meets our high standards — and yours. Our commitment to excellence continues even after installation, providing you with lasting confidence in your finished project.

Frequently Asked Questions
We consider several factors before deciding on the most appropriate cladding material for your Melbourne home or business. A few of these include:
- Environmental exposure of the building
- Design vision
- Architectural style
- Structural limitations
- Maintenance expectations
- Budget scope
- Installation conditions such as access, height, etc.
One of the reasons metal cladding is widely used is that it does not demand constant attention. Once installed, it generally holds up well against everyday exposure.
That said, we do not advise a “set and forget” approach because exposure to dust, coastal salt air and debris can gradually cause wear. So, opt for a simple cleaning every now and then to maintain the appearance of the metal wall cladding. Apart from this, regular inspection also ensures the cladding remains in optimal condition for a long duration.
Costs can vary quite a bit, and that often comes down to how extensive the project is. A few things that tend to shape the overall investment are:
- Type of material chosen
- Level of detailing in the design
- Size and layout of the building surface
- Site conditions that may affect installation
We evaluate these conditions before presenting the itemised quote so you know the details of what you’re paying for.
Generally, we do not require our clients to prepare a lot before the consultation. However, if you have a few reference images, bring those along as it can help us in understanding your vision more clearly. This can also accelerate the design process.
Yes, and this is actually quite common. Many older buildings are updated using metal cladding to give them a cleaner and more current appearance.
It is not just about looks either. Adding a new outer layer can also improve how the building holds up over time. In most cases, the structure underneath remains untouched, while the exterior is completely refreshed. When done well, the change can feel significant without being overly disruptive.
